When I was around 10 years old my mom let me tag along with her to my very first yoga class. Since then yoga has been such a pivotal part of my existence. The passion and I love I have for yoga runs in my blood (literally). Growing up I played sports like softball, basketball, water polo, and boxing and after organized sports were not available to me I found my way back to yoga. In addition to yoga I also love running, weight training and HIIT workouts. I feel grateful that my body is strong enough to do all these things.
The physical benefits of my yoga practice is just the tip of the iceberg for me. Yoga has helped me and continues to help me feel confident, strong, clear minded and humble. Yoga has helped me realize that I am SO much more than just my physical body and how much time I wasted just focusing there. Yoga is about a connection and balance . I became a yoga teacher to help others reap these benefits.
For me yoga is not about nailing a pose, but it is about nailing down who I really am without any of the BS that fills my mind on a daily basis. Join me and we will figure this out together.
